| The McKinley Grand Hotel's lounge — Thorpe's — is filled with sports memorabilia. Historic items from the Jim Thorpe and Knute Rockne era are displayed; as well as many other fascinating sports facts and articles. While William McKinley did not play many sports, he was often an enthusiastic spectator at athletic events. He was also president of the YMCA and sponsored many athletic events. |
